Director Teona Strugar Mitevska was born in Skopje, North Macedonia in 1974, into a family of artists. Even as a child she was acting, later she studied painting and graphic design and afterwards finished the Master of Fine Arts Program Film at Tisch School of Arts in New York. Her debut film VETA was awarded by the jury of Berlinale 2002. Since then her feature films are regularly shown on festivals. (Source: jip film & verleih)
