Canadian filmmaker and climate activist Slater Jewell-Kemker, born in 1992, has been following the emerging youth climate movement over a period of twelve years, since she was 15. She documents young activists from around the world joining forces, organising protests, and fighting for their beliefs. Her video footage shows a generation fighting political inaction, not satisfied with promises at demonstrations and conferences. The film demonstrates that hope and determination to ensure a better future are uniting a wide variety of people – and keeping them from giving up, despite setbacks. (Anita Yassini)
